HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The No. 8 State University of New York at New Paltz men's volleyball team (10-2) kicked off the Juniata Tournament in dominating fashion, topping Penn State-Altoona (3-9) by a 3-0 (25-14, 25-21, 25-21) final on Friday night. The Hawks hit .306 for the match compared to the Lions' .068 hitting percentage.

Brian Smith (Massapequa, N.Y./Massapequa) each had two total blocks.
For Penn State-Altoona, Josh Settle ignited the attack with seven kills, while Branden McGarvey tallied 16 assists. Settle and Daniel Reilly each posted two total blocks.
New Paltz continues action at the Juniata Tournament tomorrow, taking on No. 1 Springfield College at 11 a.m. before squaring off with No. 6 Juniata College at 1 p.m.
