SHENANDOAH, Texas – The State University of New York at New Paltz women's swimming team wrapped up the third day of competition at the 2013 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships hosted by the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) and the City of Shenandoah at the Conroe ISD Natatorium on Friday. The Hawks did not advance any swimmers or relays on to the final heats and conclude the third day with four team points.
 
Senior Carly Marshall (Cornwall, N.Y./Cornwall Central) opened the meet for New Paltz by placing 29th in the 500 butterfly (2:10.11). Senior Yuka Suzuka (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Yorktown) also swam on Friday, clocking an 18th-place time of 56.86 in the 100 backstroke.
 
Finally, the 800 freestyle relay squad of Marshall, Suzuka, junior Chelsea Allocco (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) and junior Victoria Scalise (Rochester, N.Y./Brighton) finished with a 21st-place standard of 7:51.40.
 
The NCAA Championships conclude tomorrow, March 23. The preliminary heats are slated for 11 a.m. EDT, with the final heats to follow at 7 p.m. EDT.
