PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. – The State University of New York at New Paltz women's tennis team (4-0, 3-0 SUNYAC East) completed the fall season sweep of the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) East Division by shutting out SUNY Plattsburgh (1-3, 0-3 SUNYAC East), 9-0, on Sunday on the Field House Tennis Courts. The Hawks are yet to lose a singles or doubles set this season.

Devin Tracy (Great River, N.Y./East Islip) defeated Plattsburgh's Emily Carlin and Kaitlyn Healy, 8-0, in No. 1 doubles. Junior
Jessica Schmidt (Commack, N.Y./Commack) and sophomore
Laura Tierney (Berkeley Heights, N.J./Governor Livingston) grabbed an 8-0 victory at No. 2 doubles over Sarah Drexinger and Tedi Politano. Freshmen
Olivia Ammirati (Huntington, N.Y./Huntington) and
Veronika Paikin (North Woodmere, N.Y./George W. Hewlett) rounded up doubles play by taking down Meghan Ryan and Jacqueline Ciriello at flight three, 8-0.
Ammirati grabbed a win at No. 1 singles by defeating Plattsburgh's Carlin, 6-2, 6-1. Munroe dropped Healy at No. 2 singles, 6-2, 6-1, while Schmidt took down Olivia Wyand at No. 3, 6-0, 6-1. Sophomore
Allie Starke (Binghamton, N.Y./Susquehanna Valley) took an 8-5 (pro set) win at No. 4 singles over Politano. Paikin won at No. 5 singles over Drexinger, 6-0, 6-1. Freshman Elizabeth Palmer (Woodstock, N.Y./Cazenovia) closed things out with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Ciriello at No. 6.
The Hawks take on defending SUNYAC champion SUNY Geneseo on Friday in Geneseo. The match is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.
