NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The State University of New York at New Paltz women's tennis team opens up its spring schedule from Monday-Thursday, March 17-20, in Orlando, Fla., taking on four different teams on its Spring Break trip.

Olivia Ammirati comes into the spring season with a 7-2 record at flight one and an 8-4 record overall… Senior
Paige Munroe enters the spring with a 9-0 record at flight two with an overall record of 9-2.

NOTES: The Hawks made it to the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Tournament final for the third straight season in the fall with a 5-0 semifinal win over SUNY Cortland on Oct. 12 in Binghamton, N.Y... They fell to SUNY Geneseo in the final, 5-1, the following day... They enter the 2014 spring season with an 8-4 record.
WHO: Grinnell College Pioneers (11-4)
RECORD: 11-4, 4-1 Midwest Conference
TOP SINGLES PLAYERS: Junior Shirlene Luk had a 9-2 record in flight one and a 15-3 overall record for the Pioneers in the 2013 fall season… Senior Sadhana Athreya achieved a 7-2 record in flight two and an overall record of 14-6.
TOP DOUBLES TEAMS: The team of Athreya and Luk was the Pioneers' top doubles tandem in the fall, as they achieved a flight one record of 7-3 and an overall record of 10-5... The team of seniors Hanna Feldman and Emma Macdonald had a flight two record of 3-2 and an overall record of 6-2 in the fall season.
NOTES: The Pioneers won their fourth straight Midwest Conference title in 2013 with a 5-0 win over Lake Forest College in Rockford, Ill., on Oct. 18… They achieved an overall record of 11-4 and open up spring play with a match against the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse on Sunday, March 16, in Orlando, Fla.

TOP SINGLES PLAYERS: Freshman Hannah More is 2-1 at flight one for the Herons while achieving an overall
record of 3-5... Sophomore Sydney Arsenault has a flight one record of 1-1 while going 6-4 overall.
TOP DOUBLES TEAMS: The team of freshman Ashley Lyon and More is 2-1 at flight one for the Herons while boasting a 6-3 record overall... The doubles pair of Arsenault and senior Casey Nicoletti holds a flight two and overall record of 1-1 for the Herons.
NOTES: The Herons competed in the New York State Championships in the fall of 2013, which was hosted by Ithaca College… Lyon achieved a 2-1 record in the tournament and advanced to the semifinals of the fourth singles bracket before falling to Madeline King of NYU, who was the tournament's top seed, 6-1, 6-2... On March 8, the Herons defeated SUNY Oneonta, 9-0, in Geneva, N.Y.

TOP SINGLES PLAYERS: Senior Olivia Hartwick is 5-5 for the Eagles at flight one with an overall record of 8-9… Sophomore Kimmy Mrozek is 19-4 overall with a flight three record of 8-2.
TOP DOUBLES TEAMS: The tandem of Hartwick and senior Abby Tresedder is 9-3 for the Eagles at flight one, and overall, they are 15-6... Sophomore Bryanne Blanton and Mrozek are a perfect 12-0 at flight two with an overall record of 18-1.
NOTES: In the fall, the Eagles placed second at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championships… The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater won the conference championship with 21 points… The Eagles won the first two matches of their spring season, as they beat the College of St. Scholastica and Luther College, 9-0 and 8-1, respectively.

NOTES: The Marlins dropped their last decision to Washington (Md.) College, 8-1, on March 10... Cifuentes and sophomore Sydney Charity prevented the sweep with a win at flight three doubles… They won, 8-2, over Washington's Amy Stevens and Tricia Valerio.
