Chelsea Allocco Places 30th in 500 Freestyle on Day 1 of NCAAs

INDIANAPOLIS – Senior Chelsea Allocco (Chatham, N.J./Chatham) from the State University of New York at New Paltz finished 30th out of 41 swimmers in the 500 freestyle on day one of the 2014 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships hosted by Franklin College and the Indiana Sports Corp at the IUPUI Natatorium Wednesday.
 
Allocco touched at 5:03.11. Allocco was out in 1:59.90 at the 200 mark.
 
The top 16 swimmers and relays in each event made it back to tonight's evening session, which begins at 6 p.m.
 
Allocco is back in action tomorrow at 10 a.m., as she competes in the 400 individual medley. She has Friday off from competition before swimming the 1,650 freestyle on Saturday afternoon.
