NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The No. 3 State University of New York at New Paltz men's volleyball team faces The Sage Colleges in its final road game of the regular season on Friday, April 4, taking on the Gators at 7 p.m. in Troy, N.Y.
RECORDS: New Paltz heads into Friday's match with a 22-3 overall record, while Sage is 7-15 overall.
SCOUTING THE HAWKS (22-3): New Paltz handed No. 14 Baruch College a 3-0 (25-19, 26-24, 25-22) setback on Tuesday, April 1, in New York City… The Hawks hit .371 for the match, while Baruch hit .227… New Paltz also held a 7-4 advantage in total team blocks… Senior outside hitter

TEAM STATISTICS: New Paltz leads the UVC in hitting percentage (.314), opponent hitting percentage (.140), assists per set (12.24), opponent assists per set (8.04), kills per set (13.20), opponent kills per set (8.62) and service aces per set… The Hawks also allow a conference-low 0.90 service aces per set against their opponents.
SCOUTING THE GATORS (7-15): Sage prevailed, 3-2 (23-25, 25-23, 25-23, 19-25, 15-11), over New Jersey City University in a five-set thriller on Wednesday night in a Skyline Conference match… Senior outside hitter Dylan Krowicki paced the Gators' offense with 20 kills, while senior libero Cory Gransbury tallied 14 digs.
STATISTICAL LEADERS: Krowicki ranks third in the Skyline and is first on the team in kills per set with 4.00… Gransbury is second in the Skyline and tops on the team in digs per set (3.21).
TEAM STATISTICS: Sage ranks second in the Skyline in digs per set (12.40), and the Gators are hitting at a .125 clip for the year.
