Meet ResultsGENESEO, N.Y. – The State University of New York at New Paltz men's swimming team dropped a 152-101 decision to SUNY Geneseo on Saturday at Alumni Pool in its final tune-up before the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Championships.
Juniors
Ryan Lindgren (Hurley, N.Y./Kingston) and
Will Koenig (Highland, Calif./Redlands East Valley) both placed first individually for the Hawks. Lindgren paced the field in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.96), while Koenig posted a race-best 22.11 in the 50 freestyle.
New Paltz finishes its dual-meet season at 4-3 overall with the loss and next competes at the SUNYAC Championships from Thursday-Saturday, Feb. 19-21, at Erie Community College's Burt Flickinger Aquatic Center in Buffalo, N.Y. Geneseo ends its dual-meet season at 9-3 and hosts the Geneseo Invitational next on Saturday, Feb. 7, at 12 p.m.
Freshman
Caleb Treadwell (Cortland, N.Y./Cortland) and sophomore
Thomas Whittico (East Lyme, Conn./East Lyme) each scored first-place points when Geneseo began tagging its entries as exhibition, with Treadwell charting a 56.40 in the 100 butterfly and Whittico swimming a 4:49.52 in the 400 individual medley.

Brandon Finn (Tomkins Cove, N.Y./North Rockland) and
Ethan Cooke (Middletown, Conn./Middletown) and Koenig also scored first-place points, charting a 1:29.20. Geneseo's "A" relay went an event-best 1:29.03 but was marked as exhibition.
Senior
Jack Spader (Larchmont, N.Y./Mamaroneck) posted the lone true runner-up finish for the Hawks at the meet, finishing second in the 500 freestyle (5:03.41).
