Day 1 Meet ResultsDay 1 Team ScoresNEW YORK – The State University of New York at New Paltz men's swimming team finished up day one of the NYU Fall Invitational in third place out of three teams with 99 points at New York University's Palladium Athletic Facility on Friday evening.
Host NYU and the Stevens Institute of Technology, two of the top teams in NCAA Division III this season, are neck-and-neck at the top of the team standings with 206 and 201 points, respectively.
Action concludes at the meet tomorrow, with the first session beginning at 10 a.m. and the second session commencing at 5 p.m.

Austin Kowalsky (Bellmore, N.Y./W.C. Mepham) and seniors
Ryan Lindgren (Hurley, N.Y./Kingston),
Ethan Cooke (Middletown, Conn./Middletown) and
Will Koenig (Highland, Calif./Redlands East Valley) kicked off the evening with a fourth-place finish in the 200 freestyle relay, clocking a time of 1:30.14, while the quartet of sophomore
Marc Piliero (Peekskill, N.Y./Peekskill), Lindgren, Cooke and Koenig ended the meet with a fifth-place result in the 400 medley relay (3:49.78).
The top individual result of Friday's session came from Koenig, who tied for sixth in the 50 freestyle with a time of 22.39. Junior
Rob Cahn (Bellmore, N.Y./John F. Kennedy) and sophomore
Barrett Celecki (Barneveld, N.Y./Holland Patent) placed among the top 10 in the 500 freestyle, finishing ninth (5:05.43) and 10th (5:10.42), respectively.
