ORLANDO, Fla. – The State University of New York at New Paltz women's tennis team fell 9-0 to William Smith College on Tuesday afternoon during its annual spring break trip.
The Hawks fall to 9-5 overall and will prepare to take on Hamilton College tomorrow, March 18, at 10 a.m. The Herons improve to 2-1 overall and play Colby-Sawyer College on Thursday, March 19 at 12 p.m. to wrap up their spring break contests.

Carol Tyson (Clinton Corners, N.Y./Rhinebeck) dropped a well-fought flight three singles match to senior Haley Wolf, falling 1-6, 6-3, 6-7. Sophomore
Olivia Ammirati (Huntington, N.Y./Huntington) fell to sophomore Hannah More in flight one singles, 1-6, 6-7.

Allie Starke (Binghamton, N.Y./Susquehanna Valley) and freshman
Sara O'Brien (Orangeburg, N.Y./Tappan Zee) dropped an 8-4 decision to freshman Michaelann Denton and sophomore Ashley Lyon while at flight three doubles, Tyson and freshman
Brittany Grandville (Tappan, N.Y./Tappan Zee) fell to junior Sydney Arsenault and sophomore Annie Venditti, 8-4.
