CANTON, N.Y. – The State University of New York at New Paltz women's tennis team suffered a 9-0 non-conference setback at St. Lawrence University on Saturday at the Sammis Tennis Courts.
With the loss, the Hawks drop to 11-7 overall and will host Union (N.Y.) College on Thursday, April 23, at 3:30 p.m. in their final dual match of the season at the North Tennis Courts. The Saints, who are ranked No. 37 in the nation and No. 14 in the region, improve to 14-3 overall and travel to SUNY Geneseo next on Tuesday, April 21, at 4 p.m.

Jessica Schmidt (Commack, N.Y./Commack) nearly won at flight four singles, losing, 6-2, 6-7 (4-7), 10-7. The Hawks' closest doubles loss came at flight three, with the duo of sophomore
Olivia Ammirati (Huntington, N.Y./Huntington) and junior
Laura Tierney (Berkeley Heights, N.J./Governor Livingston) falling, 8-5.
