Box Score RIO PIEDRAS, P.R. – The No. 3 State University of New York at New Paltz men's volleyball team suffered its first loss of the 2016 campaign on Friday evening, falling, 3-2 (24-26, 17-25, 26-24, 25-19, 15-12), to the University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras in the Gallitos' home gym.
New Paltz falls to 1-1 overall with the loss and finishes up competition in Puerto Rico tomorrow with two neutral-site matches against the University of Turabo (3 p.m.) and the University of Puerto Rico-Carolina (7 p.m.).
The Hawks hit at a .287 clip (59-26-115) for the match and finished with 13 total team blocks.
