Box Score 2 RIO PIEDRAS, P.R. – The No. 3 State University of New York at New Paltz men's volleyball team split its matches on the final competition day of its trip to Puerto Rico on Saturday at the University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras, falling, 3-1 (25-22, 26-24, 23-25, 25-23), to the University of Turabo before topping the University of Puerto Rico-Carolina, 3-0 (25-12, 25-20, 25-20).
New Paltz moves to 2-2 overall and next competes at the Live Free or Die Invitational cohosted by Daniel Webster College and Rivier University in Nashua, N.H.
Turabo 3, New Paltz 1 The Hawks were held to .387 (59-18-106) hitting in its four-set loss to Turabo, finishing with just two blocks.

New Paltz 3, UPR-Carolina 0 New Paltz bounced back with a decisive win in the nightcap, fashioning a .545 (39-9-55) hitting percentage as a team while finishing with 10.5 total team blocks.
A total of 15 student-athletes competed for the Hawks in the win, which saw an impressive 10-kill performance from Norman. Norman also chipped in with four service aces and three total blocks (one solo, two assist). Freshman setter/opposite
