Kayla McKeveny (Holbrook, N.Y./Sachem East) has become the all-time leader in career goals (41) and career points (102) in the program record books after scoring twice in the State University of New York at New Paltz field hockey team's 6-0 victory over SUNY Oswego on Friday afternoon.
With McKeveny's performance on Friday, she has surpassed
Dani Ackerman '16 who previously held both spots with 39 career goals and 98 career points.

Serena Capsello (Baldwinsville, N.Y./C.W. Baker) broke open the scoring in the third minute before senior forward
Erin Landy (Glenmont, N.Y./Bethlehem Central), McKeveny and freshman forward
Kaitlyn Gunter (Schuylerville, N.Y./Schuylerville) each put away first half goals to put New Paltz up, 4-0, at intermission. Coming out of the break, Landy and McKeveny both added a second half goal to secure the final victory for the Hawks.
New Paltz outshot Oswego (7-5, 2-3 SUNYAC), 18-4, and held a 16-4 advantage in penalty corners.
Landy and McKeveny each had four shots with three on goal to pace the offense while junior
Justine O'Reilly (West Sayville, N.Y./Sayville) and Capsello tallied two shots apiece. Junior goalie
Megan Gangewere (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth Area) made three saves in the cage to earn the shutout.
For the Lakers, senior midfielder Julia Calandra recorded two shots to lead the offense. Junior goalie Sarita Charap made three saves in the first half of play while freshman keeper Mary Mattice recorded two saves in the second half.
The Hawks (9-5, 5-0 SUNYAC) are back in action tomorrow when they host SUNY Cortland at the North Turf Field at 1 p.m. The winner of this match will earn the No. 1 seed in the upcoming SUNYAC playoffs, with the loser earning the No. 2 seed. Both teams will host a semifinal game no matter the outcome on Nov. 2.
