ITHACA, N.Y. – Playing its first match in New York this semester, the women's tennis team at the State University of New York at New Paltz earned two singles wins and one doubles victories but fell at host Ithaca 6-3 on Friday afternoon at Glazer Arena.

With the defeat, the Hawks move to 8-6 overall and will host Stevens on Wednesday, April 5 at 3:30 p.m. The Bombers improve to 13-3 overall.

In doubles action, the combination of sophomore Lindsay Haley (Hicksville, N.Y./St. Anthony's) and freshman Victoria Zezula (Ridgewood, N.Y./The Mary Louis Academy) earned the flight three win, 8-2.

Meanwhile, in singles competition, junior Carol Tyson (Clinton Corners, N.Y./Rhinebeck) won flight three 6-4, 7-6 (5-0) while junior Emi Lewis (New York City, N.Y./NYC Lab School) was victorious in flight four 6-2, 6-1.
