NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – For the third time this season, the men's volleyball team at the State University of New York at New Paltz will take on Vassar College to write a new chapter in this Hudson River rivalry.

This time around, the stakes are even higher in a win-or-go home situation as the No. 4 Hawks (25-8 overall) take on the No. 2 Brewers (26-7 overall) in the NCAA Division III Quarterfinals on Friday, April 28 at 5:30 p.m. in Blake Arena, hosted by Springfield College.

Both teams have split this season, winning on the road, as Vassar came to the Hawk Center on March 29 and claimed a come-from-behind 3-2 victory after trailing 2-0. New Paltz answered, however, with a classic 3-1 win at Vassar in the UVC Semifinals to eliminate the host school.

The winner of the quarterfinal match will face either Wentworth or Juniata in the NCAA Semifinals on Saturday, April 29 with the winner of that advancing to the National Championship bout.
