Cortland, NY — The State University of New York at New Paltz women's tennis team is off to a hot start in 2019. Playing in an exhibition round-robin scrimmage against hosting SUNY Cortland, Union College and SUNY Oneonta Saturday, the Hawks went 25-5 in single matches and 8-2 in doubles matches to one set.
"Great way to open season, [the] team played a lot of different competitive opponents in one set format," said Hawks Coach
Rob Bruley. "This format sets us up for the start of our conference at Plattsburgh next week."
SUNY New Paltz will travel up to Plattsburgh next weekend to start its conference play Saturday at 1 p.m.
