Box Score Poughkeepsie, NY--- The State University of New York at New Paltz closed out its weekend at Vassar with some victories against quality teams. The Hawks saw six victorious matches Sunday, which all came from different players.
 
Onalee Batcheller got SUNY New Paltz on the board by defeating New York University (6-4, 3-6, 10-4), continuing her strong start to her freshman year. Jenna Grandville defeated Connecticut College (6-2, 6-2) right after. 
 Laura Koob won her match (6-3, 6-2) against New York University and Kathleen Mangan defeated Connecticut College (4-6, 6-4, 10-6).
 
Emma Messenger continued the winning trend by defeating Connecticut College (6-2, 7-5) and Ava Sweeney secured the last win of the day against NYU, (6-7 (1), 6-1 (7)),
 
The Hawks return to conference play this weekend, when they travel up to SUNY Oswego Friday, and then travel to Cortland Saturday.  This will be a pivotal weekend, as the Hawks look to continue their dominance in the SUNYAC Conference.
