New Paltz, NY — The United Volleyball Conference (UVC) announced its weekly winners with Hawks senior opposite
Matt Teplansky earning his first career UVC Athlete of the Week honor.
Teplansky earned Co-Player of the Week alongside Vassar's Armaan Desai.
The Hawks only played one game this week and
Matt Teplansky was the highlight in a 3-0 Monday night sweep over visiting Edgewood. Teplansky was the catalyst, totaling a game-high 14 kills on 23 attempts to hit an efficient .522 in the match, while adding four aces and five digs for a game-high 18 points. The 14 kills matched a career-high for the senior, while the 18 points was a new career best.
SUNY New Paltz has a big week coming up, closing out UVC play on the road against NYU, Hobart and Elmira starting Wednesday.
