SUNY New Paltz Tennis Falls 5-2 on the Road at Ithaca College

Ithaca, NY The State University of New York at New Paltz fell 5-2 too Ithaca College Wednesday afternoon.

"In what turned out to be our longest match of the season, 4.5 hour, we came up short losing 2-5 in some big hitting long baseline rallies" says head coach Rob Bruley. "Highlight of the doubles match was the continued winning streak of Genzone and Gabriel. With this win they set a new school record for most wins at 3rd doubles in a season. With us going into the singles matches needing to win 4 out of the 6 matches both Gabriel at #6 and Krol at #5 both won their singles matches."

"This spring season has really challenged our program, and I know we will be stronger after playing some very strong Nationally ranked teams and a number of Division II programs. We are now all looking forward to Mondays draw for the NCAA National Championship brackets and to have the opportunity to compete at the highest level of Division III tennis."
