New Paltz, NY — The State University of New York at New Paltz men's and women's cross country team officially released its 2026 schedule today.

The State University of New York New Paltz officially released its 2026-27 men's and women's combined schedule today and the first for the Hawks as members of the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC).

The Hawks will begin their 2026 account on August 28, once again running in the annual Vassar College Preseason Scrimmage Meet, hosted by Vassar. The season then begins in earnest with New Paltz participating in five cross country invitationals in the fall 2026 season. The Hawks open the season on September 5 at the "Fred Pavlich Invitational," hosted by Bard College at Annandale-on-Hudson. A week later, New Paltz is again across the Hudson River, at the "Ron Stonitsch Invitational" on September 12, at Vassar College. Two weeks later, on September 26, New Paltz is at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Greenwich, NY at the "RPI Fairgrounds Showdown".

October sees New Paltz traveling to Bethlehem, PA on October 2 to run in the "52nd Annual Paul Short Run", hosted by Lehigh University. At this event, the many of the best Division I, Division II, Division III and NJCAA teams from the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic gather to compete in a variety of cross country categories. The Hawks will close out the regular fall season in Glassboro, NJ on October 17, running at Dream Park in the "Border Battle", hosted by Rowan University.

The NJAC championship meet will be held on October 31 in Ewing, NJ, hosted by The College of New Jersey. The NCAA DIII Mideast Regional Championship will be run in Hartford, CT on November 14, with the NCAA III national championship meet being held on November 21, hosted by Carleton College in Northfield, MN.

New Paltz will participate in three invitational track and field meets in Spring 2027: March 26-27 at the Ramapo College of New Jersey Track & Field Invitational; the RPI Under the Lights Classic on April 9-10, and the Vassar Twilight Invitational on April 23.
