NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – After going 2-0 in last weekend's fourth-annual Michelle Vargas-Robin Memorial Tournament, the State University of New York at New Paltz women's soccer team is set to compete in the Scarlet Raider Soccer Classic hosted by Rutgers University-Newark from Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 6-7.
RECORDS: New Paltz enters this weekend with a 2-0 record, while Brooklyn College is 0-2, Frostburg State University is 2-0 and Rutgers-Newark is 3-0.
SCOUTING THE HAWKS (2-0): New Paltz began the year by defeating Skidmore College, 1-0, and SUNY Cobleskill, 6-0, at the Michelle Vargas-Robin Tournament... Junior forward

Brooklyn is coming off a 15-4 campaign last season, including a seven-game winning streak to begin the year... Brooklyn was picked second in the 2014 City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) Preseason Poll... The Bulldogs are mentored by third-year head coach Patrick Horne.
STATISTICAL LEADERS: Sophomore midfielder/forward Jordan Kerwin and sophomore midfielder Sangam Gurung have fired off both of the Bulldog shots this season... Freshman goalkeeper Rebecca Harmata and sophomore goalkeeper Kimberly Chacko have both earned starts in goal this year... Harmata has recorded nine saves in 125 minutes, while Chacko has made seven saves in 54:57.
