NEW PALTZ, N.Y. - After competing against four teams in Orlando, Fla. over spring break, the State University of New York at New Paltz women's tennis team will play at Ithaca College on Friday, April 3 at 3:30 p.m. before hosting Union College on Saturday, April 4 at 1 p.m.
RECORDS: New Paltz comes in the weekend with a record of 10-6... The Bombers are 12-5 overall… Union is 3-9 overall.
SCOUTING NEW PALTZ (10-6): Freshman
Carol Tyson leads the team with a 14-2 singles mark, winning all six of her matches in flight four and all five in flight five... Sophomore
Olivia Ammirati is second on the team with a 9-5 singles record... Junior
Laura Tierney has an 8-2 record in singles action... Senior co-captain
Jessica Schmidt has a 7-6 record in singles action… Senior captains

Brittany Grandville are second on the team in doubles with a 4-1 record in flight three… Freshman
Sara O'Brien and Tracy have a doubles record of 4-3... Grandville and Tyson have a 4-5 mark.
SCOUTING ITHACA (14-7): Senior Alyssa Steinweis leads the team with a 16-4 singles mark, with a 1-0 record in all her first and second flight matches and a 3-0 mark in her third and fourth flight matches… Senior Kelly Fishback is second on the team in singles with a 14-7 mark, winning each match she played in the first and second flight and all three she competed in the fourth tier… Senior Allison Vizgaitis has a 14-8 record in singles action… Senior Carly Siegel has a 12-6 singles record… Sophomore Haley Kusak and Siegel lead the team in doubles with an 11-11 overall record… Steinwis and Vizgatis are second on the team with a 7-3 record, with a 6-1 record in the second flight.
LAST MEETING:
The Hawks triumphed over Ithaca College, 6-3, when these two teams last met on April 12, 2014.
SCOUTING UNION (3-9): Sophomore Mina Hsia is 5-6 in singles this season, going 5-5 at flight two… Sophomore Natalia Pronchick is 4-8 with a 3-7 mark at number one singles… Sophomore Emily Newman is 3-2 at flight five… Hsia and Pronchick are 4-7 at flight one doubles… Union has defeated Liberty League foe Bard, Hollins and SUNY Plattsburgh this season… The Dutchwomen are led by interim head coach Don Dudley.
