Spina scored a goal against SUNY Fredonia on Friday, but the Hawks went 0-3-0 for the week. He drew a start against Mount Saint Mary College on Tuesday, as New Paltz fell, 2-1, in double overtime. Against Fredonia on Friday, he netted a marker and put a shot on target in the final 10 minutes of play, but the Hawks fell, 3-2. Finally, on Saturday, he had one shot in New Paltz's 3-0 loss to Buffalo State. Spina finished the year with one goal and one assist. New Paltz, which was knocked out of SUNYAC Tournament contention on the last day of the conference season, finished 2013 with a 4-12-3 overall record (2-6-1 SUNYAC).
