Santana, a native of New York, N.Y., made a name for herself competing for the New Paltz women's volleyball program from 1997-99, posting gaudy statistics that remain the gold standard for outside hitters. She finished her career with a program-record 2,027 kills, becoming the only player in program history to eclipse 2,000, and she also ranks sixth in career digs (1,528). Santana is tied for fourth in Division III history in single-match kills (41) in a four-set match, and she also is tied for fifth in Division III history in single-match digs (50) in a four-set match. Santana earned three First-Team All-SUNYAC nods, and she helped the Hawks make the SUNYAC Tournament semifinals during her junior and senior seasons.
