Hawks Athletics Hall of Fame
Bell, a native of Modena, N.Y., engineered one of the most prolific careers in the history of the New Paltz men's basketball program from 1992-96, which culminated in the Hawks' first-ever SUNYAC Tournament runner-up finish during his senior season in 1995-96. Bell currently ranks sixth in the history of NCAA Division III in career steals (355), and his 3.78 per-game average ranks 12th in the history of Division III men's basketball. In addition, Bell, a three-time First-Team All-State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) selection, ranks among the program's career leaders in steals (first, 355), assists (first, 490), rebounds (third, 872), blocks (fourth, 72) and points (eighth, 1,359). During his senior season, he earned Second-Team National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II/III All-District honors in addition to being named to the Columbus Multimedia Men's Division III Honorable Mention All-America Team.
