A pioneer in sports for women, Dawson and her Arethusa sorority sisters played a huge role in initiating Women's Athletics at New Paltz and helped pave the way for our female student-athletes.
The Associate Director of Athletics and Senior Women Administrator at Middlebury College, she recieved the Middlebury College Faculty Feminist of the Year Award for her leadership among female athletes in 2005. Her work on behalf of women has been invaluable to the athletics program at New Paltz.
