She earned 10 All-America honors throughout the course of her career while becoming the College's first female national champion in 2007, winning the 100 freestyle with a time of 50.84. Coombs also finished as a nine-time SUNYAC champion and established conference records in the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle, 100 backstroke and 200 medley relay. She was named the SUNYAC Outstanding Female Swimmer of the Meet in both 2007 and 2008, and Coombs earned First-Team All-SUNYAC recognition in each of those seasons as well. Currently, Coombs still owns the SUNYAC record in both the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle.
